- The charge is $50 for a standard document with less than 100 words i.e. birth certificate, marriage certificate, police clearance, etc. Additional copies are free.
- Other standard text: $28 / 100 words.
- More complex documents by negotiation.

Marriage Certificates warning
Please be advised that the Hungarian authorities will not accept the Marriage Certificate issued by the marriage celebrant or the priest. It is regarded as a commemorative item only, not an official certificate. How do you know that it is not the right one? If the certificate has the Australian coat of arm on it, then it is not the right one.
You need to get an extract from the Registry in your state. If you wish to obtain a copy of your Australian marriage certificate you may apply through official web site of the relevant State or Territory Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages.
The official extract will bear the name of the state and will have a Registration Number in the top right hand corner.
